About Us
Welcome to the Mid-Atlantic Writing Centers Association! Founded in 1988, we are a regional affiliate of the International Writing Centers Association. MAWCA is comprised of writing center directors and tutors from New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland, and the District of Columbia. Through annual conferences, mini-regional events, and other means, we seek to provide opportunities for networking and professional development for the writing center community in our region.
