Lunch and Discussion with Romeo Garcia

TOWSON UNIVERSITY IS PLEASED TO WELCOME DR. ROMEO GARCIA, the keynote speaker for the MAWCA conference and author of "Unmaking Gringo Centers" in issue 36.1 (2017) of The Writing Center Journal. We want to give all members of our local Writing Center community an opportunity to engage with Dr. Garcia and learn about his important work on social justice and decolonization.

THE EVENT TAKES PLACE ON FRIDAY, MARCH 6, 2020, FROM 12:00pm-2:00pm.
The first 25 registrants will be provided a catered lunch from 12-1pm. (Participants who register late may bring a bag lunch.) The scholarship discussion will take place from 1-2pm. Two weeks prior to the event, all registrants will receive a pdf copy of the article that Dr. Garcia will discuss. Please be sure to review it prior to attending the event.
